Crappie,Catfish,Camping

Where would be the best place to find all of these things? i know that owyhee and brownlee are excellent places but they are alittle far.is there any places closer that have good fishing?me and some buddies are trying to plan a trip around memorial day,thanks in advance

John Day arm behind John Day dam. Camp at the mouth or boat up to the boat in park and camp. Plenty of fish, Channel Cats, Bullhead cats, Crappie, Bluegill, Perch, and Bass. Can be windy and you need a boat to fish effectively.

You could check out Prineville Res. They are getting better crappiea and bass numbers and you can catch cats up the wazoo. There is bank access, camping and if you have a boat or canoe it is great hitting the little coves all over.
