Crappie in the Willy

I caught a few the past few days. Mostly tight to pilings. I was using small crappie jigs in white and pearl under a bobber....

I was wondering if the crappie fishing was still good off the fishing platforms on the island downstream from Mary Young park was still productive. I think the bass and pan fish club used to dump brush off the platforms to attract the fish.

Topwaterfly, the OBPC placed some christmas trees in the lagoon in March of last year. The trees were barged out to the drop points from the boat launch. Crappie do hang on them.

Thanx for confirming that some form of structure was placed to attract crappie. Will give it a shot this week.
