View Full Version : Lake Owyhee trip

I am heading over to Owyhee the week of the 22nd of this month. I will take the camera and bring back some pics. Dad and his two boys reunited for the first time in about 15 years for a fishing trip. I have the 20 pontoon boat rented, and can't wait for some largemouth and crappie. I will post later on the results. If any I-fish folks are going to be in the area, let me know, perhaps we can say hi.

The lake is plumb full, and not likely to drop for a while. This means a great spawn this year! Fishing has been really good at Owyhee. My buds pounded the crappie last weekend over there. Had a little excitement in the evening when the big T-Storm blew in, but they got off the lake safe and sound.
You should have a great trip, there is plenty of cover that has been high and dry for yeras that now is full of fish. :grin:

What size were the crappies ? Do you know the water temp ?

Nice but not big.
I have no clue what the temp is. I'll see if they have t temp sensor on their fish finder.
It looks to be around 54 degrees.

I also have some freinds who went this last week. Crappie were crazy. They caught them at will and most were around 6-7 inches.

Sounds like w/ the Brownlee messed up Owyhee might be a good alternative. Sounds like everyone is doing pretty good.
How about some links to camp site info....or was that mentioned in the previous thread?
