I went down there in the mid-90's, with boat. I wanted to ask a few questions. 1) How did the float tube work out for you on such big water? Seems like plenty of creek arms that would be fine, but road access looks minimal? I have a canoe, and would be interested in using that vs. dragging the big boat. 2) Looks like you caught both Smallies and Spots. I only caught Spots. Could you tell the difference in the fight, what or how they bite?
FWIW, my hot bait was a 4" Magic Worm in "Morning Dawn" with chartreuse tail...a tip from a local friend. I wouldn't have tried them on Lk. Washington, but when I got home, I had one on the rod, so thought I'd get my $.20 worth out of it, and they caught Smallies just fine! :smash: Moral is: Don't think about it too much. I guess....C&R, Steve

Float tube worked out good the thing about it is once I pick a spot that looks good I stay there for the hole day because its to much work to put everything away and start over somewhere else with a boat you can find a good spot with a tube sometimes you have to make it a good spot.
I did not catch any Smallies I know that first pic looks like one but its not. But the bite was very very soft you would just fell some extra weight on your line I never had a hard hite
