Looking for the very LATEST in Tillamook Area fishing Reports. You see, I need an edge. This Friday and Saturday is the Annual Salmon Hawg Invitational Tournament. (aka S.H.I.T.) From all of my sources, all I hear is SLOW.....Everywhere. Nehalem to Nestucca. Maybe We should be fishing from the Bank up on the Trask or Wilson(?) Look forward to reading the responses.

You're right Scott, it's been slower than expected in general around the N. coast so far. There have been the exceptional days however. Many have come in the Nehalem system. You should call Lyster's tackle in Garibaldi or Jim Erickson (number on the Ifish main page) for an update Fri. afternoon. The main Nehalem is bigger and keeps it's color a little longer; with an earlier run than the Tillamook area rivers as well. Boating the lower end there would be a good guess. But don't rely on my suggestions; I wouldn't want to be responsible for your weekend tourney to turn into sh*t! http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hot.
Fished the Nestucca today and didn't see anything caught. Loads of boats, tons of bait stealers, smolts glore, marked some fish but lockjaw had set in. Heard of a couple big ones this past week but not today. Maybe next week it will heat up some.
