So far so good! Go Mariners! I hope they can bring some pride back to the Norhtwest after the Blazers choked away a sure championship in the 4th quarter of game 7 to the Lakers last spring. And Os, maybe you better not talk up the Mainers, you might jinx them too http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif . - RT

Oh geez! Did they play today and lose? I thought they didn't play until tomorrow. I only watched part of the Mets/Cardinals game.

One thing though Os,
Those damn A's as young as they are will be around and winning a lot longer than those damn Mariner's. They will be lucky to keep A-Rod after this season and even if they do will they be able to afford anybody else of any quality to be with him. Let's also not forget that Lou is a free agent after this year too!!!
Now having said all that I am now, that my team is out rooting for the M's to go all the way, they have a good shot. The 8th yesterday was tough but do you think that the Yankees were going to be shutout the entire series, they hadn't scored in 21 innings up to that point. There is no way that a lineup with Jeter, Williams and Justice are going to be shutout forever. So the prediction is M's in six. As far as I'm concerned the Yankee's rate just above (but just barely) the Dodgers on the who I hate the most in baseball list!!!!
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jeff, as for next year for the Mariners, did you think you would see them where they are right now after having lost the Big Unit (RJ) and then Griffey?!? With Micorsoft money floating around the Emerald city they will bring in what it takes to stay a contender for awhile .... I think (I don't know anything about baseball http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif baseball and hockey suck; basketball and football rule). - And Os, I bet you and all Dawg fans had more than a little sweat dripping off your chins watching that Beaver kick sail just wide right! Wow. If they lost to the Beavs at Husky after being mowed down at Autzen ...... http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
