Jeremy, salmon fishing on tidewater in the Alsea has been up and down. Salmon fishing was good on Sunday and slowed down on Monday with all the rain. I am getting some good reports of salmon being caught in Yaquina Bay between Toledo and Elk City. Crabbing has also been good by Newport.

Jeremy - Went out to the Alsea today to look for any salmon that slipped in with this last storm. Well, they did but not many of them. All I saw were dark fish but I talked to a guy who saw one chromer roll. I'd recommend anywhere from Five Rivers downstream to Tidewater. Everyone seems to be using eggs but I got one on a spinner.
I haven't heard anything about the Siletz for bank fishing. Most people are fishing in tidewater. As for the South Santiam, I've heard there are tons of summer steelhead. I'm guessing most are dark but who knows. Try the mile below Foster for bank fishing. Good luck.
