Merrill Lake Gate question

Does anyone know if the gate at Merrill is open. Last year they were going to open it by 15 April but the ST Helens was doing her thing. Has anyone been up there already?

The gate is still closed. Here is some info on a sheduled Merrill Lake clean up.
