Decided to go for walleye below The Dalles dam on Sunday. Weather was beautiful but the fishing was dead. We hit the boat ramp hole and Wauna slots with no success or fish on other a few pikeminnows that hit our jigs. Fished 15 to 25 feet of water with with heavy tube jigs and helicopter jigs. Saw one other guy fishing the boat ramp hole and he had the same amount of success as we did. Gave up and hit smallmouth and caught a half dozen or so with my brother landing a pig. Wish i could figure those critters out, caught them below the John Day dam so I would think there below the Dalles :shrug: The water had dropped and the color was clearing up nicely just no fish. Also, there were about a dozen or more high powered bass boats out, was their a tournament going on?
