I have more rods than I can use, but I love every one of them. And I just bought another, and pine for a few more. They all get used, but some way more than others. I suspect I'm preaching to the choir, but am interested in what fly anglers collect...here's mine...

...and me of you Stew...in fact, I'm afraid to fish a bamboo rod in order that I don't feel the need to start looking at those too.

Not a huge collection, but gets the job done. Seems I've spent most of my $ on quality reels for the few rods I have.
Gimmeumpqua, those Fibertouch rods are awesome. Fished one on some high mountain beaver ponds in Colorado for golden trout once, great small trout rod.

Back when I got into rod building, I started branching out from my bread & butter spinning rods to try a few casting rods, and then to fly rods... never mind the fact that up to that point i'd never even fly-fished before. Now that I've actually gotten into throwing flies, I only have 4 fly rods out of probably at least 20 total (afraid to do an honest count), but then I also have a couple blanks/kits on hand waiting to be commissioned.
My next addition ought to be a light (3 or 4 wt) pack rod. Winstons and bamboo remain a little out of my price range, however. Got a friend whose collection looks more like yours, for which I like to tease him since he doesn't even fish that much. Of course he teases me in return for squandering my potential fishing toy funds on getting married and having kids.

You know Isaac, that may only partially true. I don't get to fish as much as you...so whats better? Lots of rods and less time to fish? Or less rods and more time to fish. Frankly I think you probably have the advantage...

I use my 7wt most of the time for trout. I use the 5wt for smallmouth and shad. The 14 footer is my steelhead mainstay. I'm saving up for an 11 wt outfit dedicated for chinook.
