Sublime

I had the opportunity to take my girlfriend out on the boat with me, to do some bass fishing, and take in this Great 70 degree day. We made our way upfriver from Salem and hit a few spots for some smallies.
The first part of the day was pretty slow, so she was able to catch a few rays while I attempted to dial in these fish. :lurk:...and TRY not to get distracted while fishing!
We later caught a few nice smallies, but nothing of much size. We headed to a different area of the river, attempting to locate some largemouth. She had never caught a bass, so I wanted to show her the difference between a largemouth and a smallmouth.
After casting a Yamamoto Spider Grub back up into the cover, her line started running out and became tight. she waited, waited, waited....and SET THE HOOK! She fought that thing through a good few runs. I was able to lip the fish and take a few good pictures. However, I was only able to use a camera phone. Either way, it was an amazing fish, and being her first bass, I think I have some expectations to uphold in the future, as her personal bass guide!
