ZF Mathers MicroCommander Controls

Anybody have any experience with these controls? I have a dual station dual outboard installation on my boat. Dual Suzuki 115's. All the basic functions work as they should. I have never gotten the single lever control or automatic throttle synchronization working. Since there isn't a lot of fishing I can do now, I thought I would try again to get this working. ZF Mathers tech support tells me I have everything setup right. "It should work setup the way you have it." But it isn't working. The tech says I should take the boat to either Burlington, WA or Charleston, OR to have it checked by one of their authorized repair centers. Since I am in Ilwaco that is not exactly a very desireable option.

Help or suggestions anybody?
