im7 rod and okuma ef30 reel lined with berkley lime green fireline. Lost it on the Greens to Jefferson run last week. It is below the midriver stump on the sweeping left hand curve. Pretty much mid run on that drift.

Wish I could say it was pulled out of the boat by a big fish but what really happened was that i was drifting solo and had pulled the oars in to do some sidedrifting. I came to a spot that I needed to reel in and grab the oars. Being tired/lazy, i set the rod on the front seat but left the line in the water :hoboy: The line caught a stump mid river and away she went.

Kinda funny....I pulled my boat back up river above the stump, rowed accross the river to the other side, got out and rigged up a 4oz. sinker on another rod. I cast over the stump and hooked my lost rod and line on the first cast. Reeling in the lost rod/line was really tough. As I got the line of the lost rod up to my rod tip, it quickly wrapped around my rescue rod four times. I felt like I had the lost rod recovered :hoboy: The line unwrapped just as fast and the whole rig blew down river. and I would believe up against the riprap.

thanks to aye fsh for the rescue attempt trip on river, to look for my lost gear. We had no luck in recovery but not for the lack of effort.

Also thanks for the jet ride. Those things move just a little faster then smoker solid ash oars :bigshock:
