Anyone ever had any experience with "Mark's Merc's" in south Salem? I was just gonna have him give my motor/linkage a general servicing before I put my boat in the drink, never used him and am interested if anyone had any experience good or bad with him. Thanks.

I had a goood experience with him, my foward reverse handle was broken on my tiller 115 merc, and it needed a tune up, so did my 6 horse kicker(merc also). Was a bit leary cause his place looks like an place where motors go to die(old motors everywhere), but he did great work, he will save you money if he can too, he ended up having the handle, and a couple other scrap parts for my linkage instead of having to order them.
All in all, he knows his mercs, and will make them purr like a kitten.

Mark is a excellent mechanic. I will not take my motors anywhere else.

In my opinion Mark Allen is the best Merc mechanic anywhere around here, I,ve had him do work for me and he is honest and knows merc motors inside and out-he grew up with his dad racing boats-and he still races boats-if i had to wait a month to get in to have him do my work i would. No BS with mark just good work-on time-and done right the first time.

Thanks for all the input folks, glad to hear Mark does a good job. I will rest easier leaving my boat with him. In my opinion it is questions and answers like this that make this such a great web site/forum.
