I have just decided to try my hand at salmon fishing I have never caught a Salmon before, and was looking for a place where I catch (and release some salmon) I don't care what species, (Chum are fine with me!). I was also looking for some tried and true salmon rigs. Any help is appreciated.

What Phish means, if you really want a salmon, you better hook up (literally) with MrDorkfish. He won't admit it, but he's really a guide. He snakes around in a little 14 foot boat, so not to draw too much attention. Veeerrrry sneaky I must say.

I never had such a good laugh as I did tonight! Thanks Mojet! We followed Mrdorkfish out to the river this morning and anchored up about 5 feet from him. Well, I can assure you he is no guide. In fact I outfished him today....so does that make me a guide toooooo??????? I got my limit by noon today, nice bright chinooks 22lbs and 24 lbs. I stand by Mrdorkfish all the way to the smoker! If I didn't have to work today, I was going to try to slide in next to Mr. D and see if some of his Midas touch rubbed off on my boat. You may have out fished him today, but beware, he's probably already planning a rematch.

This streak temporarily ended today.....i got just out of Chinook landing and was greeted by large whitecaps and a barge. Oh....and the 30mph wind blowing me down river sideways....uh....NO ! I was home before light. What a great day yesterday though.
