I don't know about above the hatchery but,I do know there fishing right in front of the hatchery,The guys i saw were drifting eggs,I was useing sandshrimp,(nothing)the guys drifting eggs were getting more jacks then silvers, some of the guys were useing spinners
and others were drifting red corkies and they were doing all right. The snaggers were being watched by 5 wardens 2 on the hatchery side and three on the cedar creek side they were not doing very well while I was there.I talked to some of the guys that were fishing there (not snagging) ,they told me it was an early morning or late evening fishery, the water is low and when the sun hits it they quit biteing.I was working graveyard and didn't get there untill 8:30 AM a little late.I only saw four silvers caught and maybe a 1/2 dozen jacks ,while I was there.I guess its pretty good tho at those other times. Thats out of about maybe 40 or 50 fisherman. Good Luck
Bob

Sledder: Fred Meyers right off 205 and Mill palin, or I think Wal mart on your left same exit. Further up 205 at 134th st. there is a high school pharmacy on the west side of freeway. Take 134 to 20th ave and turn left at light at 20th. Go about a block and you will see it.

Sledder, You're welcome! you bank or boat fishing. If boating, be aware that you can not fish from a boat above Johnson flats to Colvin creek above the hatchery. I was up there the other day and saw some guys fishing from an anchored boat. Don't know if they got tagged for it or not. If bank fishing, there is some water on the Hatchery side that is accessable.
I fish from a boat. Last Sunday, the bite was slow for the boats. We got an 8# steelhead.
Feel free to contact me if you'd like more info or if you need a partner one day.

GIZMO, Anybody fishing above the hatchery, I really don't like the crowds. I will be fishing off the bank until I get a feel of the river. Then I may bring the sled.

Sledder: We did not go above the hatchery in the boat. We saw bankies fishing above the crowds at the boat ramp on the hat side.
Giz.
