I have a 2005 Tricker trailer with sealed (supposed to be at least) tail lights. Right side has water in it and the bulb is fried. Can't seem to find a way to change the lamp. Any help would sure be appreciated. Finally get to go fishing tomorrow and might have to go without signal and brake light. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I'll probably buy new ones before I go but having a tough time understanding why I can't change a bulb. Seems pretty absurd to me. Thanks again
Is this the type of sealed tail light you have?

No. It's a rectangle light and when the cover is off there is a clear sealed housing around the lamps. The only apparent opening into this sealed "bubble" is where the wires enter on the back. There is a "tar like" sealant around the connectors. This is where the water had to have entered but no apparent access to the lamps. Very frustrating. Thanks for your reply.

Replace both trailer lights with LED's..... no heat, better seal, brighter, and much longer life. Just a thought.

LED's on my Sunday shopping list. Thanks for the help guys.
If you can wait, I'd call Tricker. Someone else reported that there was a bad run of taillamps that leaked. I'm not sure if it was Tricker, but it would be worth a check.
Yea have fun! I went through this a few weeks ago. There is a sealed capsule available, from what I found on the net and localy, that will allow you to change the bulbs, cost will be $18.95 + $5.00 because it's less than a $50.00 order + S&H from EZ-Loader. That is the kind of capsule that was installed on my trailer, the plastic tangs that hold the capsule together a easy to break when replacing a bulb.
The sealed capsules that the bulbs ARE NOT replacable cost $8.95 or so at Fishermans and I believe Boaters World, GI Joes and West Marine didn't cary them. I found several places on line that carried these, but there wasn't any savings to speak of.
Next time one of those $9.00 suckers goes out I'm buyin' the LEDs for the back of the trailer. EZ-Loader wanted around $38.00 and $45.00 if I remember right, but I've read on the board recently that EZ-Loader had some issues with their units leaking, so I'll stay away from them.
There's a place called Custom Trailer Parts up near Jubitz in North Portland that can save you money over the EZ-Loaders on the LEDs, that's where I'll get mine when the time comes.

I had the Wesbar sealed capsule lights on my EZ Loader, complete ***. Went through 3 or 4 and finally got some LEDs from the online pro shop with bass in their name.
One side note - I wanted to solder the connection to the light because those stupid bullet connectors are always coming loose. Well, FYI brake cleaner IS NOT the proper solvent to use to clean the grease off the contacts.
