The Apostle's Creed

This prayer is very dear to our Catholic brothers and sisters and it's easy to see why. It really takes the beliefs of the majority of Christians and ties them up into one beautifully written package. Many are familiar with this prayer but it's sure worth posting at this joyous time of year!

The Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, The Father Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth
and in Jesus Christ
His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
On the third day, He rose again.
He ascended into Heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God,
the Father Almighty.
From thence He shall come
to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church
the Communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen.

that sums up the affirmation of my faith, have said that one since I was a little boy in Catholic school..not sure there is a more complete prayer out there

And I was taught,

The holly Lutheran church.

But no matter you say it, I was brought up this way by my grand parents, who are from the Old Country, Sweden & Norway, and they installed this in my dad, and so on.

One of the best prayer you could say.
