I've been going through a lot of changes lately with medicine, treatments, and what not for kidney and liver disease. Because of the designed treatment running it's course and some bad side effects, the doctor decided to suspend medication and take a closely monitored "careful watching" approach. His biggest concern is internal infection which has happened in the in the past.
So far it's been ten days with no adverse effects. All of the blood testing isn't over but so far so good. All of the ultimate results will take some time and I don't concern myself with them because they're in our Father's hands like everything else.
The purpose of this post is not to disclose a personal health report but to witness to and praise our loving God. He loves all of us so very, very much, and shows it in ways that are often hard to understand or make sense to us. His grace applies to all of us.
A few short years ago I never thought I'd be sitting here writing this post. Why should God keep alive an old sinner who ignored Him for so many years? Why should He love and care for a person that was so self-centered for most of his life that he hurt many that were close to him? Why does He give all of us the chance of repenting our sins and being reborn through Christ?
The reason very simply is because He's God! He who always fulfills His promises. The one that created us not out of need but because He wanted just to love us and for us to love Him back in return. The God who loved us so much that He sent His precious sinless Son from heaven to teach us and show us the truth, and ultimately die a brutal death on the cross so that we could be with Him forever. Praise God for His love and grace!
Next week begins such a sacred and holy time for many of us. Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. Only God could have taken something as terrible as Jesus' Crucifixion and turned it into the glory of the resurrection.
This is a time where we can all can put aside our health, family, or other personal problems and thank God through worship, prayer, and actions for what he's done and continually does for us. And just for being there for us.....Always!
Rev: 17-18....." And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
I am He that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore, A-men; and have the keys of hell and of death."
Happy Easter everybody and blessings to all!....Dennis :flowered:
