Hello All,
Posted a Rewire project quite a while back, but only finished half of the project, so thought I would post the other half now
I re-wired under my helm, but left a huge mess under the transom (from quick add-on to quick add-on so I could get back to fishing...). Here is the before:

To complicate matters, I had my kicker restored to a tiller from the remote (reason: Now have TR-1 and want to be able to quickly regain control...hard with remotes when you are sitting near your pole.) which means I have to move TR-1 to Starboard side. I had a wash down installed, so have to move that to Port to make room for the TR-1. Add to that *very* little room under transom, and it makes for an interesting project. I also added a two bank battery charger/maintainer so I have no battery issues when it is time to fish.

The TR-1 control unit was fastened directly to the floor under the transom...I didn't like this because during wash down, or just plain washing the boat, all the crap would flow right onto the unit. I thought making a new bracket to get the unit off the floor would help and I have this new Pan and Box sheet metal brake I wanted to play with, so...

The battery switch was also mounted to the floor...this was a PROBLEM. The corrosion due to the cables so near the floor was bad. So I made a bracket for this as well. I made the bracket at a 30 degree angle, then installed HDPE as an insulator. Should do the trick.

While I was working on this, I decided I needed to take my seat boxes and seal the bottoms so that stuff in them would stay dry. I welded aluminum to the bottoms, then welded on stand-offs so that water trapped underneath would eventually dry.

I primered them...

And then painted them with *mostly* matching zolatone paint...

Now, to finish installing the newly remodeled seat boxes and get back to fishing :P
