Everyone talking about bait scents....have you ever noticed that the ones that stay on the bait the best never come off your hands!! This is what I do, and I have absolutely no idea why it works, it just does.

Wash your hands with whatever flavor of soap you prefer...when you're done, they still smell, right? Well, take something that is stainless steel, whether it be a utensil (spoon), or something else (I like to use ball bearings). With soap, rub the stainless steel piece all over your hands, making sure you go between the fingers, etc. Rinse.

This always works for me, like I said, I don't know why!!! Try it, you'll be amazed.

TR, try Dr Bronners peppermint oil soap. You can get it in the health food section at Fred Meyer. This stuff is biodegradable, yellow/orange liquid Castile soap. It will literally remove anything from your hands, even heavy engine grease or blood. You can brush your teeth with it or a million other things, all on the label.

It smells like peppermint. I don't know if the fish mind this but I use it for fishing. I hate the smell of sand shrimp and this stuff takes it right off.

The bend is your friend!

Guys,
Why have I nopt heard the words :lemon juce." I first wash my hands with dish soap which will take off almost any kind of grease, then wash them again with plain old lemon juice. It's cheap, and works well. What more could you ask for?

Berkley used to make some scent remover that actually worked for me. It was like a bottle of liguid soap, but had little suddsing action. Really worked for getting bait off the hands. However, I can't seem to find it anymore...may have been discontinued.

Any validity to the Lindy-Little Joe No-Sent Soap they sell @ Joes? I find it curious that one of the ingredients is “perfume”. I guess if stinks enough, it'll mask whatever's on your hands, but that stuff stttttinks! I think it is similar to the stuff Berkley made.
