I hope the board ****'s does'nt go off on me for this http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif ( it's not a fishing subject http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif )
I've waited till now.
The time has come boys.
My beloved U Dub Dawgs are headed south for a little Duck soup this weekend,
I'm sure that there are lots of Husky fans down there...as you guys need a good college football team to cheer for http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif...so stand and be counted Husky fans....it's that time of year http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ok OS-PREY....The ducks have to dispatch
UCLA first then bring those HUSKIES to autzen
(friendly confines) for some Oregon hospitality. Huskies got 2 weeks to prepare,
the midnight recruiter Rick Neufeldork, will
need it. Ducks owe U of W a big one. Seroiusly though, the PAC 10 is looking up.
Both ULCA and UW have brought back some respectabiltiy. Standford beating Texas didn't hurt, shaping up to be a good year.
Go Ducks, Support a husky free NW.

I stand corrected ....thats a first http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Our next game is still the Quacks we just get a week off to watch UCLA have lunch
I sure hope the Bruins leave us something to woop up on http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
I normally alway cheer for the pac 10...except when it envolves the Ducks...I don't mind the Beavers there kinda cute and fuzzy...but harmless http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Os, from your previous posts and badgering
of RT, i used to think you were OK. Now that
you have let the husky poop out of the bag,
I'll have to re-think my opinions. The only
weekend I'll root for the black & orange
BEAVERS is when they play the purple and
gold fairies from Seattle way. Go Ducks...

Osprey,

You have it all wrong. The Dawgs will chew apart the Ducks and slap around UCLA.

What we really need to worry about is WSU!

The 2nd ranked, undefeated Huskies will march in to Pullman looking to beat a 0-10 Cougar squad. We will be 55 point favorites, as their leading and backup Quarterbacks were arrested weeks earlier at a Fraternity Party Gone Bad.

Game Day weather prediction will be Sunny, with a high of 50!

Naturally, it will snow 3' by game time, with the field being nothing but snow and ice. The Dawgs will lose 65-7, thereby blowing chances at either the BCS and Rose Bowl.

I've seen it before. It's an ugly site. Damn those Cougs! Damn those Huskies!

No offense to you Ducks. The Ducks have a good team this year, but UCLA will be too tough and physical for the Ducks. After UCLA softens up the Ducks with a solid victory, the Ducks will have little chance against a PoweHouse team that has had 2 weeks to practice. Needless, I'll still root for the Ducks when they play UCLA.

Go Dawgs.....please!

Parker

HEY http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif , my daughter goes to OSU, so I gotta root for Erickson's bunch. They are finally getting better http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif. The frat party after the Cal game last fall was a lot more fun, even though the Beavs pulled out a thriller. Us dads get to go to Dads Weekend each fall, with game and b**r party at the frats highlights. - BTW HUNTER 1, only use all caps for a strong emphasis on a word or phrase, not on all your words. It amounts to yelling in net language. Thanks. - One more thing, while I do like watching football almost as much as basketball, I think only guys who don't catch many fish get so caught up in college football http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif ! Oh oh, better go get my helmut on quick http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif . And Os, the Sonics flatout suck so quit being so jealous of the Blazers. - RT

Oh, great! Now, when they're going down I-5 to Eugene, those Husky fans are going to be stopping by my restaurant for breakfast, just like they do every year. And I have to serve them, looking at those stupid UW sweatshirts, t-shirts, and hats. True story! Really! One year, a large group of UW fans were in my restaurant after stopping on their way to Eugene. One of them brought the waitress a thermos to fill with coffee, as it was a cold and rainy day and they needed some hot coffee to keep warm. He asked her "Do you think you could fit six cups of coffee in here?" and the waitress looks at the thermos, and says "Sure! No problem." The Husky fan says "Great! I'd like two black, two with cream, and two with cream and sugar!"

Ducks are much more intelligent creatures than Huskies. They fly south for the winter, where it's warmer. Dogs just stick around in the snow, and pull sleds, freezing their hindquarters off.

RT- I couldn't agree more. I had the unique opprotunity to play for the Ducks. The one thing that always bugged me and I never quite understood was how could this many people want to watch football instead of fish. People are crazy I tell ya. Football is entertaining, beating the huskies and beavers especially, (4 out 5 times when I played) however a 45 pound king will give you the same rush. Conversly maybe everyone should be into football. More fish the serious fisherman!!!! As far as the Puppies go,get in the back yard!!!

Os,

You know as well as I do why the Ducks seem so bitter about the Huskies. It's the same story as the Cougs.

Over the last 40 years, the record speaks for itself. 25-14-1 in favor of Washington. I guess if we lose to UO for the next decade in a row, they might be able to say they're AS GOOD as UW, but I don't see that happening. You know why their uni's are green? ENVY!

Hey are those O's on their helmets, or are they zero's? Ha ha!

There's nothing stopping you from enjoying college football AND fishing, that's what VCR's are for. Tape the game and watch it when you're done cleaning your fish. And yes, I DO catch fish. Nothing better than munching on a piece of smoked salmon, sipping a cold brew, and watching the Dawgs kick the Ducks around the field. onstep, be kind to your memories of UO taking four out of five games, cause it AIN'T gonna happen again any time soon.

Bow down to Washington!!

Fish on.........

PS lifetime records: UO vs UW = UW 49-28-4
UO vs OSU = UO 39-38-6

Conclusion: Huskies own the Ducks, Ducks DON'T own OSU. Sorry, but the stats speak for themselves.

Wow, talk about living in the past. I bet you have a 92' Rose Bowl Sweater still in the original package.

I thought Don James retired, recruiting violations wasn't it?

I was at the 92' Rose Bowl National Title football game and just had to root for the Huskies, in the middle of a Michigan section. How is that for Pac Ten loyalty.

But I have to say the most exciting game I ever saw was the 94' Oregon-Washington game. I can still Here those words "KENNY WHEATON GOING TO SCORE....., TOUCHDOWN KENNY WHEATON." Of Course I was a Senior at Oregon.

There was a time when the Husky fans would ignore the Ducks. It's pretty obvious that things have changed. Perhaps it's the fact that the ducks have the best record in the Pac 10 over the last 5 years. The Huskies are now paying attention and the whining sound from the Sound is deafening. Speaking of whining, I remember the coach from Washington whining a couple of years ago when the Ducks went to a better bowl game largely because they whupped up on the puppies up in grungeville. It's clear that the shine is off of the old bedraggled purple fart. The real football program can be found in Eugene, the Dawgs know it, and their are whimpering over the demise of their once proud program.

Hey Dan, you sure have a way with those stats. I love it when you pull them up to make like minded political points http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif, but the only stat that will mean anything in football is on this year's scoreboard at the end of the game! While you're at it, can you furnish us with the stats for the comparitive recruiting budgets in the Pac 10? Gee, I wonder how "Microsoft" the Dawgs budget is (including the under the table dollars to get it by the NCAA - the James tradition lives on)? What is the points scored per recruiting dollar spent (up front plus underneath!) for the 4 NW schools? I'll bet my first Tillamook chromer (unless it's a hen - those are like NBA trade "untouchables") this fall if the Dawgs aren't dead last in that significant scoring format. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif BTW, "Tui"ososoposoposoposopo (sp?/jk) has been Dawg hyped as a legit Heisman candidate this year. What are the statistical odds for him winning that?- Steve

Careful, RT, that's my Alma Mater you're referring to. Although you couldn't pay me enough to live in Seattle now, my years there were terrific. Coming from a small town where school was a breeze, it was a whole new expereince being in Seattle and being an "average" student, well not as above average as I was at Shelton High. So the Purple & Gold runs deep for me.

I was really just funnin' with all you Duck and Beaver fans. While I "pretend" to hate the ducks, any time I see them beating teams from Arizona and California, I always crack a smile. But when it comes to Ducks/Huskies, you know where MY loyalties lie ( And in the NOW it's 34-20 Dawgs!). So no hard feelings, folks, just letting the Husky in me have a little fun. And as far as 'Bama goes, they slid out of the top 25 faster than RT chasing an Emu! JK, I love seeing the Tide beat those Florida teams!

OK Os, time for a bucket of water on your Dawg flames. This is going to sound an*l. I hope it doesn't sound flipant or sour anyone of the "home" team. I used to be a hard core, "pound my fist on the coffee table when they missed a layup or got a bad call from the refs" Blazers fan. Got my BP up. Not good. So I tried to anylize why. .... How many out of state guys play for the Dawgs? Do you or a relative play for the Dawgs? Do you know any of them? If not you are just rooting for a couple of colors for a team that plays in another city than Oly (purple and gold up in the Emerald City - of Oz!). Ever tried to figure out why? Don't, you may never root so hard again. After tough Blazer loses, especially close ones on the road due to the intractable homer refs, I had to re-think why I'd get so upset. Couldn't come up with a genuinely real reason. I was rooting for a bunch of out of town guys (whinners and some jailblazers) hired by a Seattle resident to wear uniforms that say Portland on them. I still would enjoy watching them beat the out of town guys that Jerry Buss bought&brought in to play for the Lakers. But if they don't I can't find a real reason to get upset like I used to. Can you? I'd rather fish! - RT

LMAO @ SLACK10 football. You people have been kept in the dark for way too long. If you want real football, then I suggest buying a satellite and watching the SEC. Highschool football games out here are more exciting to watch than the SLACK10. Dawgs put on a great showing against the Canes. UCLA punished Bama, but I saw that one coming because the Bruins had terrible politics last year. How can you have exciting football if you have one or two teams carrying the conference? Exactly :P.

Yea Alabama! Drown'em Tide,
Every Bama man's behind you,
Hit your stride...
Go teach the Bulldogs to behave
Send the Yellow Jackets to a watery grave,
And if a man starts to weaken,
That's a shame,
'Cause Bama's pluck and grit have
Writ her name in Crimson Flame,
Fight on, Fight on, Fight on, men!
Remember the Rose Bowl we'll win then.
Go, roll to victory, Hit your stride!
You're Dixie's football pride,
Crimson Tide!

Okay here it is, who has the best pac 10 record in the 90's, the Huskies. How many bowl games have the ducks been to in the last 20 years, alot less then the Huskies once again. How many Rose Bowls have the ducks, beavers and cougs won in the last 20 years? ZERO, figure it out yet guys. It will be another 67 years before the cougs ever get back to pasedena. And then you got the Beavers stuck with Jump the Ship Dennis Erickson, when the going gets tough, Dennis gets going. when was the last time Oregon or Wazzu played a Miami or a Nebraska or someone like that? The Dawgs are 2 and 2 against the big red machine and 2 and 0 against Miami. Besides that the Nebraska Fans are great People as well, Not like any of those ******** I ran into in eugene who think beer cans and bottles are for throwing. Then we'll see how much static we here from

mean much, the game will be on the field but
since you mention them: How many times have
pac 10 teams had NCAA violations. James got
busted, Neusheister (sp) has been close etc.
I listened to a sports radio station yesterday that had "wo nellie" Keith Jackson
as a guest, he said "I'm not so sure that the best team in the pac ten isn't the one from Eugene, Or." The paper today has the ducks
favored by 2 pts over UCLA. If the ducks
are really that bad, just tell neusheister to
bring his troops down for a big party. The Dawgs (mutts, whatever) can just show up and win, after all it's only Oregon. When your done weeping in about mid october, come on down and we'll show you what Tillamook Hogs

As Far as having a losing record against all other teams head to head, the Ducks have a winning record over Arizona as well. I know, I know I am stretching it. As far as the Ducks having a overall losing record, in the PAC-10? Yes they do. Overall against all teams? No they don't.

Oh yeah and you forgot one vital stat.

Thanks my little Duck boys that sure clears the way for us http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif
coming off a big win like that I hope there won't be a let down,
it seams in the past that Oregon always gets a bye week before they play us...now it's our turn for pay back if you give us a extra week to prepare....could get ugly for the Duck fans...we can only hope you guys keep it close http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
GO DAWGS !!!

Way to go Ducks! You beat a highly over ranked and over rated UCLA football team!

Let's just hope the Duck Stops There, so you don't beat my beloved over ranked and over rated Huskies!

From what I saw and heard, I wasn't impressed by UCLA *or* Oregon. (Hey, I was out fishing on Saturday - no time for football watching).

Parker's Prediction:

UW 30, OR 10.

"That's Bold Talk for a One Eyed Fat Man", thanks "J.W.".
The Huskies are quaking in their boots. Rightfully so since they have been reading their own press again and haven't even been tested this season.
They will be this weekend and we'll see who's the bit@#.

The Huskies eat home win-streaks like candy. You Duck fans are starting to sound like the smack-talking Hurricane fans before we went down there and ended their 58 game home win streak. That win over Baby Blue sure made this game look a whole lot bigger, though. Whichever team pulls out the win in this one could be driving the Pac-10 bus to Pasadena. And let's not hear anything about the Tide, as it looks like it's still going out......

Did Washington have a losing record in '98, because the Ducks beat them in Autzen in '98. They also dismantled a Michigan St. team in '98 at Autzen. Not to mention a USC team in both '98 & '99. As well as a UCLA team that not only beat a overrated Alabama team, but MICHIGAN. You know those boys in Vegas must know something since they have Washington as a 3 point UNDERDAWG! GO DUCKS!!!

I think we need to start some betting, like if oregon wins then every washington fan has to take the oregon fan out fishing, and vice versa. Maybe you can bet salmon too, like I bet 1 salmon for the dawgs and so on. Personnally I think that it will go to overtime and the ducks will pull it out with their home crowd behind them. Final:27-24 oregon.

DanS

Ahhh, those poor, misguided boys in Vegas. They had UW a 4-point underdog to Colorado, too. But the CU fans are now licking their wounds, just as I predict the Duck fans will be on Saturday. This year that, and that year this means NOTHING right now. College teams change so much from year to year that ANYTHING could happen. The Duck defense looked mighty tough against UCLA, but their QB was no Marques Tuiasosopo. You gotta love that guy, but Harrington is no slouch himself.

Should be a GREAT game, and I'll open a seat for any Duck fan willing to do the same, if by some slim chance the Dawgs don't prevail. We could go in late November and listen to the Dawgs whip the Cougs.......hold it, I'm getting ahead of myself. Anyway, the bet is made. Who's takin' me up on it?

Fish on.......

Dan, no problem on the bet... lets just trade
trips. Wilson or Trask anytime soon, just e-mail me. I wonder why the ducks are 3 point
favorites and how much noise Osprey will make
on Sunday. As far as Parker goes; in his earlier post he predicted a UCLA victory. The
next post after the win by the ducks, he still doesn't give them their due. I hope the dawgs come down all relaxed and casual. If so, I think they'll get a nice suprise. The ducks are for real... Lets hope for a good game and good fishin'

Hey Mike (Osprey), I just woke up in a cold sweat from a terrible nightmare: Ducks ahead entering the 4th quarter of a defensive gem of a game 14 to 7. First play in the last quarter the UO QB goes down and stays there . Out. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif After the stalled drive a pumped up UW offense grinds out a tying score with Tui running the option to perfection like only he can. 14 to 14. Why didn't he run another option for a 2pt. conversion? Would have been stuffed in the crunch, so they knew better. More D dominating the field the rest of the quarter. Then it happens; the backup Duck QB trainwrecks a last chance drive by throwing an interception right over the middle into double coverage. Cold sweat man. Tui has 50 seconds to drive. On the do or fry 3rd and long the refs call pass interference on the Ducks! At Autzen yet! http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif 2 more option sweeps puts the lucky dog Dawgs on the 28 with 3 seconds left and timeout. After a Duck timeout to frost the kickers @$$ a little, he nails the field goal as the clock and the Ducks go down. AAAAAARRRRGGGG...snap... I woke up in this cold sweat and realized it was a Dawg night bad dream! Whew! I wanted to find out if I have ESP, so I came downstairs to post the nightmare after 3:30 a.m. Check the post time listed above in case it comes true. .....Nah, won't happen. It's gonna be a Dawg gone day at Autzen. You Washington dudes that read this before noon better take this advice: go fishing! You can watch the crylights on the 5:00 news about the Duck's 27 to 22 Viceroy victory when you come home http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif . - RT - Edit: If the inept twin of the regular Duck FG kicker hadn't shown up and left 13 points off the board my 27-22 prediction spread would have been covered by 15 instead of 2; and been more indicative of what took place on the field, ... Os. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Os, I feel so darn bad for ya dude http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif ... I'll wait a minute while you go get a tissue ........ now there, let's see .... seems I recall you sayin' something about Duck soup ...or, was that Dawg poop? http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif And if the OU FG kicker hadn't thrown out 13 points the scoreboard would have reflected the @$$ kickin' fields stats a little better. Oh well Os, there's always next year .... oh ya, you have to live with this @$$ whup for a couple years don't ya http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif ..... http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif .... OK, go get another tisue .... there now, it's only a game. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif I mean an @$$ whup!

Now we know what the "W" stands for... Wimpy, Whiner, Whupped, Wussies, Wankers. The final score 23-16 ducks. Osprey and all the other puppy fans are eating crow rather than the duck they claimed they would be munching on. Never... never... count the Ducks out. Top 10 team my butt.. can you say over-rated?

Gee, what a classy winner you are, SandySteel. Those wimps, whiners, and wussies had you going until the final minute, so don't play it off as a trip to the woodshed. Great game by UO, the defense saved the day. Great job of playcalling by Bellotti and Aliotti, but please put your kicker out of his misery.

As much as the gloating by fans like SS irritates me, I'd still rather have a team from OR represent the PAC instead of a team from Cal or Arizona. But don't count the eggs just yet, Duck fans, there's still plenty of football left in this season. Gee, SandySteel, you could have had a fishing trip on me, if you were willing to get behind your team like ol' Neutron was. Good call Neutron, I'll be getting ready to pay up, and you are allowed to gloat all you want since you were there for the Ducks BEFORE the W went in the win column.

Congrats Ducks on a great game!

It is true that the only thing worse than a sore loser is a sore winner. So I guess I am guilty in that regard. My apologies to all husky fans on the board. I just thought that with all of the trash talk in the last two weeks that you folks could take a little ribbing. Evidently not. The "W" shot is in direct response to the "O" shots we have been taking since the article appeared last year in the Seattle Times. By the way... I had posted my position a long time ago on the first page of this topic. (posted 09-18-2000 10:07 PM) So I did take a stand.
So again I am sorry if I came off like a jerk... I do that from time to time... but in defense and as a return shot to your post...,.......... I now know what the W really stands for. :P

Eric and Dan, you guys are right. Not so cool to gloat after a win. Especially when the gloater was not on the field helping win the game. Even though I did make my prediction hours before the game, I'm starting to feel a bit bad for you Huskie fans. You have high expectations for good reasons. But just like UCLA, the Dawgs shouldn't feel bad having given it their best effort and coming up a bit short to a better team. - As for my digs above, and the "faces" ones in the other thread "Ducks Fans post delay Syndrome", notice that they are directed toward my buddy Os; not the rest of you fans. I think that after enduring several months of emu cr*p and several weeks of Dawg due from him that he richly earned an open season on Osprey! All in fun though Mike. - Steve

The ducks offense looked very impressive today. A couple of misques or it could have been even worse than it turned out. Glad I fell asleep during the game. Guess I will have to wear green and yellow to go south this year....hehe. I am a sellout to any team that will get me down south during the snow http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif A green drift boat should be easier to find than a purple one.

Where's Osprey, must be scrounging up some
fish for dinner. If ya can't find any, there
some day old DAWG meat all over Auzten stadium. Sure is quiet on the ole discussion
board here anybody heard the screach of an osprey lately. How about them beavers too. As far as I'm concerned, the Rose Bowl race
is wide open. If the ducks don't get better
at putting their opponent away, they'll be
playing in the toilet bowl. Maybe we can get a rematch? Go DAWGS ha ha ha....

Like I said in my other post I have room for 1...so get in line girls it's kinda close quarters with the Emu and all http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif
