Thanks Leaky. Do you know how the trout fishing and how many steelhead have made it above the Maupin area this year. Some of the best steelhead flyfishing of the year is in Oct. on the Deschutes. Just have to not think about the 40 lb. mint bright T-Bay 'Nooks to go over to the Big D for that. - RT

Floated from Buck Hollow to Beavertail yesterday. The lower river is completely blown! The White river is dumping so much silt in, that all the way down there was about 3 inches of visisbility in the water. I would stand in calve deep water and could not see my boot! Worst I have ever seen it. Oh yeah, caught one 18 inch high desert bone fish (aka white fish). Go above Maupin if your going!

Just got an email from a buddy who was there on Sunday, he fished above Maupin. Got one steelie and a few trout. Full moon = no trout? He said that quite a few fisherman were hooking up with Steelhead. I am going to go over agin next month, if I can forget about those silver bullets in T bay! http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif
