Since I've been bugging everyone else for reports, I guess I should give my contribution too!

Got a late start and wasn't fishing till about 9am. One good take down, down river from Tanner Creek. Salmon rolling mid channel. Me anchor near bank. Scared of barges! Watched a boat on the Wash. side hook up twice (salmon or metal heads). Said to myself, "Self, pull anchor and move over". Moved over. Watched boat hook up 3rd time. Still nothing for me. Went upstream to sturgeon hole. Hooked up 2 oversize on whole shad. Decided to back troll 'warts through the Shad Rack since no one was there. Caught a jack 'nookie. Watched the SAME boat with #4 drift by. Sheesh, those guys had the right stink on their hands or something. Only saw one other salmon caught. Mostly I just enhanced my tan for six hours and went home.

Good post, a day of tanning with couple of
oversize and a jack beats the heck out of
working...

Thanks Neutron! I'll be playing hooky on Friday too. The sturgeon should be a sure thing but I definitely would prefer some 'nookie. We know how that goes don't we? I might just be getting tanner at Tanner Creek.

I gotta go before I do another nauseating play on words! Next time I'll post a normal report.

Well once again, we hooked up two oversize below the dam on Friday. Whole shad still seems to be the ticket. It always seems like a sure thing for the big guys, I almost feel guilty doing it.

Unlike Mr. Dorkfish, the salmon keep eluding me. Pretty soon I think I'm going to go coastal...

Ooops, there I go again with those silly word games.

Mr. D, I just figured out your "Bob Straub" clue. Excuse my ignorance but I'm low on experience for the Old Nestuc. Thanks for the tip! In the past I've mostly done the Salmon River but that is getting real crowded for the size. After launching my boat last year I had to park my rig up on the road. Guess someone figured I needed the exercise.

Good luck on Thursday, don't think I'll be able to block wake or take video for you. Something about having to work... GRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Would love to see the master in action!

MoJet....I have never fished the Salmon down there, My bro told me that it is very good off the bank. He said that most fished a single corky off the bottom and there were lots of fish caught. The numbers are down in the Columbia....the pressure is on ! I'll let you know how we do.
