Why I love and follow Jesus

There's been a lot of discussion on the Bible and the Christian faith lately on the Angler's Chapel but for this post may we just concentrate on Jesus Himself? :flowered:

Jesus transcends any religion or system. Jesus is one who feels our pain and knows all of our needs. In return for our faith in Him, He offers to forgive our sins and intercede and bring us to The Father. He cried for us and gave His life for us and then resurrected from the dead to show He was all He claimed to be! :hearton:

He showed that He can save us from our sins and live His life through us on earth by way of the the Holy Spirit. He offers Himself as a free gift to us so that we can be with Him in heaven and only asks for our trust and faith.

This is why I love Jesus so much and will always follow Him. He offers an undeserving sinner like myself something that no one else can and asks so little in return for it. Only faith and trust!

As I composed this response this morning I was overwhelmed with the fact that God does care about ME. Today. God cares about the individual person.
Your post has caused me to reflect on this simple basic fact that we often take for granted.It 1s both humbling and exciting to reflect on Christ great gift to us, His death, as an act for ALL and yet for EACH one of us. So inclusive and yet so personal! And He adds to that act of 2000 years ago(which seems, not like old history, but a relevant part of my life) a daily attention to each detail of my life.
Thanks Dullhoook for a post that has caused me reflect again on God's goodness and love to me.

I have been a child of God sense I was 6 or 7 years old. I remeber the night I asked Jesus into my heart and life. I was in my bed and I think all the teaching I had at Church made me think. I asked my parents into my room. I asked them if they would pray with me. That I wanted Jesus in my life just like they had. As I grew older and I have had many great men and Women of God teach me. I still had fallen after high school. I put a plexy glass buble around my heart that had small holes in it. Just enough to let a little of the savior in and think was ok to be were I was. I went to this movie called The Rocky Horror Picture Show every saturday night. Being there was a lot of fun to me at the time. God does bring good from evil. I was involved with a guy. I got pregant and then I knew how bad I had gotten. I had fallen so far away from the Lord I was not hearing his voice anymore. When I was at the Docotrs and I called my Dad. I could here the voice of Jesus. Come home to me, I Love You. When my Dad told me that he loved me even though I had done some much wrong. I just broke. I brang a humble heart to God. Jesus brought me out of my sin and brought me whole again. I have a wonderful little boy who in turn also loves Jesus he asked Jesus into his heart and life when he was 5. He is so kind to others when they are hurt and all the time. I also have a wonderful husband that loves my son just as much as I do. God and Jesus has brought me to a wonderful place in my life. I have found a wonderful church that I have grown so much in the Lord in the past 4 years. I am still growing and growing in Christ. Now we ask why I Love and Follow Jesus? With out Jesus I would be a big mess. I would be searching in the wrong places for love. I might have not had such awonderful little boy or a wonderful husband. Jesus is my Savior and there is no other who can save me. I have felt his presnce many of times in my life. I see so amny people rejecting Jesus because of what I do not know. Ijust hope I can be a light in there dark world. To show Jesus to them with they way I live and love.
