With a little under 2 months to go until the spring Halibut opener on May 11th, almost half the dates are already booked! If you are thinking of booking a trip to head offshore in search of some of the best tasting fish around, the spots are starting to get a bit skinnier.
With the spring halibut season only open on Thurs., Fri., Saturday, unortunately there is a lack of days to fish. Currently, there is only one Saturday left open, May 27.(EDIT- SATURDAYS ALL BOOKED)
There are still a number of Thursdays and Fridays currently available. If you miss out, there still may be added days starting June 22nd if the quota isn't met. But who knows if that will happen?
