Everyday I look forward to the mailman arriving at the home. He carries treasures from around the world I have found on the internet to my door. Being from a small town its hard to find many items that help catch more fish. Sure we got the basics in town, but I am always searching for the edge... New ideas for improving my own techniques.
I got my new scents today in the mail today. I will let you know how they field test for silvers. Wow do these really stink...a good fresh stink though. I think you would really like them. The squid is a good smelling scent thanks for the tip RT.
If you like to tinker with your tackle let me know and maybe we can share some ideas. I have modified just about everything in my arsenal to a degree. Some for the better...Others just for the love of tinkering.
Lately I have been playing with new scents, knots with flourocarbon, modifing plugs, lighting my lures and sponge baits.
There just isn't enough time in the day for me to field test all my ideas. So hey I don't mind sharing some if you will let me know how they worked for you.

Good idea Marty. I share your propensity to think of things to try; but I also don't have the time on the water anymore to effectively test new ideas like I used to when I was a full-time guide. Maybe we could start a fishing idea and tip page for fishers to try things out. However, it would only work properly if fishers would share honestly how new things worked for them. Would some guys withhold results if something really effectively were discovered thru idea sharing? Probably unavoidable, yet I think we have enough good and fair BB members that it could be a very interesting and productive venture! Jen? - RT - BTW Marty, I think you could have used better wording for your subject title. We wouldn't want people to think the wrong thing about P.A.'s 5th Ave. mailman would we? http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif (jk)

Info and Ammo are always more expensive in the field! It's free on the web, though. Great idea guys, bring it on! The bend is your friend!

I do too Marty; maybe the mail would be in the right boxes more often? http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif (jk - I know how jumpy a few mailmen seem to get)

I agree I could have worded the title a little different. How about I wish my mailman was a emu.. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif
