It is about keeping our fish!

This is R.T. and Jennie at the rally that almost happened! Well, we did have some turnout, but not as great as we could have. You know, with all these great people, we CAN make a difference!
Please, lets all rally together and make a difference! I put together a page of "where to write" to make a difference. I hope it will help you.
It is located at http://www.ifish.net/write.html
Anyway, thought I'd share this pic R.T. sent to me. We had fun!
Let's do it again! It can be done in a non offensive, peaceful way!

Thanks Jen. We have a much bigger membership now. If any members have a worthy credible sportfishing cause that a writing &/or show up rally would likely do some genuine good for, we can put some numbers into action! -- BTW, that 8 hp Mercury trolling motor for cars on the back of my SS was running a bit flat, so I gave it to Bev and Dot to work on. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif . - RT

Let's do it,When and where.I was thinking of the best time of year to try and put something together but kinda difficult.Should it be after the fall run and before the winter run or after springer's and before summer run's???????????or would that interfer with halibut!!!!!!!!! I think a strategict plan and date that was during a lowlll or what I call down time would work the best.We need a huge turn out, like 5,000 to 10,000 sport fisher people,So we can be heard.Good luck,,,,,,,,, STRIKE ZONE

Good thoughts SZ, but I think we need a specific issue to have a protest rally about to be most effective. And to get the most people out for. We tried the May rally at Cascade Locks to protest the Indians getting a mainstem Col. springer season w/o sportfishers being given one as both the law and ethics say we should have. It was put together on short notice but we should of had a bigger turnout. For good points about this subject read the nearby "WDFW/ODFW Bast@#$^&*" post thread by Northriver B. Thanks. - RT

I truly wished I could have made your rally. I will certainly try to make the next! Of course I will have to factor in travel time, cost, etc. These were certainly factors in my decision not to attend the rally at cascade locks. Hell, I don't even know where it is.
Keep up the good work. There is a lot of support behind you.

Good one Os! LMAO. I wish it had been pizza. Unfortunately it was a box of mostly unused rally fliers explaining the sportfisher's position and credible arguments for getting a mainstem springer season. -- BTW, I fulfilled my wife's wishes by finally getting a sedan to better accomodate the longer legs of our growing kids in the back seat. So, right now this minute, my loved Camaro SS with only 34,000 miles on it is for sale at $16,950 (the new ones are about 30K). I will miss the fun! - Steve
