Hey Winterkill!
Sounds like you need to go out and catch a big salmon almost as much as Jennie http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif!
Anyhow, I'm not cheap...but I am a guide and I would like to take you out fishing because I like your attitude and I think it's very important to help the younger generation get into a sport, pastime, hobby that is fun and rewarding. There's sure a lot of other stuff that's a lot worse that you could be wanting to do!
I'll have trips coming up when I don't have a full boat, and it would be a pleasure to have you come along and fill one of those empty seats. (no charge as my guest) If you can get transportation down here. E-mail or call me (503)842-8813, and we'll set something up!
I'm not a doctor however, so you'll have to get your parents approval to miss any school or be able to come down here and fish anyway! http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Looking forward to hearing from you! -Marty P.

Wow Winterkill, that's an incredible opportunity. Though I don't know Marty, I know of him. He seems like a very good guide. If you ever read Fishing and Hunting Lies, he is the guy they always go to when they talk about winter steelhead fishing on the Nestucca. Don't pass this opportunity up. You stand to gain experience and knowledge in a day that it would take years to gain on your own. Congratulations Marty, that is an act of generosity that is seldom displayed anymore in this world.

Hell, if you don't take it I'd take it!!! Just kidding. Rarely do you see guides nowadays that are so kind hearted. Most are interested in getting clients into fish at any cost and not into actually FISHING.
Luckily for myself, I have a knowlegeable Dad who gratefully pulled me outta school to go fishing for salmon/steelhead/trout growing up. He also knows how to fish well so that helped also.
Good luck with those two-a-days (I hated them) hopefully you'll get a few days in fishing.......

Hey cts,
While I do my darndest to get my clients into fish, I also am there all day with them and gladly answer questions or share techniques that I have learned.
To me, fishing is a never-ending learning experience, don't be afraid to experiment, to ask advice from someone, to study written material, (such as RT's great posts on this BB).
You ask if you go fishing with me if it will be a learning experience...it will if you let it be!
