View Full Version : lower columbia gillnet schedule???
A buddy fished buoy 10 sunday with poor results. He was very dismayed to learn there was an overnight gillnet fishery Saturday night. At least I think it was sat. night.
Anyway, does anyone know if there are any remaining scheduled commercial gillnet fisheries set for the lower columbia/buoy 10 area this fall? Especially anything the next couple weeks?
Thanks.

A fishing buddy of mine called ODFW yesterday and was told the nets went in for 3 days starting yesterday. They can net from Marker 50...near Bonneville all the way to bouy 2. Pretty sad news!

The gillnet fishery started Mon. at 8pm and went to Tues. 6am then Tues. 8pm to Wed. 6am. The open area was from the I-205 bridge to Beacon Rock with a closed area from lower sand island to the upper end of McGuire Island. No commercial fishery is scheduled for the lower river until late Sept. or early Oct.

Slider,
Thanks for the info. Is your source reliable enough that we can plan trips later this week and next with confidence?
Just have to be sure.....too far to drive only to be dissapointed.....you know how it goes.
Thanks again.
