Hey y'all,

My younger brother is coming into town for a week, and I kinda wanted to show him King fishing. He's used to the bass and bream story, but I want to show him what put the Pacific Northwest on the map. Anyone know of any good places in Washington where they are running good? Mainly in the lower parts i.e. Cowlitz? etc. My friend is a guide and he will take us out, but he is a weekend guide and doesn't do it all the time, so he and I share ideas and locations to fish. He has a 21' Woolridge Jet Sled = soooo weeeet! Bank or Boat fishing, the location doesn't matter to me. If not Kings, then how 'bout some steelies or silvers? My guide buddy hit buoy 10 and only caught one chinook and one silver. He said the fishing was spotty, if not, slow. Any info would be appreciated, and consider it your "good deed of the day." http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif A thousand blessings on your pole...and...

If you want the best shot, I would try near the Longview bridge. Bring plenty of rope, a good river anchor and chain. Look for 40-45' of water and start with 1//2 and 1/2 Alvins.
Fish the outgoing tide. Just look for all the boats near the bridge.

Bring a rod that can handle anywheres from 6 to 12 oz. of lead.(and bring the lead too http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif ) Use a dropper about 48" long.

Good luck and if this works, remember, I get a finders fee = to 1/2 of the fish... http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif
