I am working hard to reduce the amount of creeps we have on this board right now, and the current way of doing things requires that we keep the offensive posts on the board for a bit.
Things are looking up, although this has taken me more time than I care to devote!
I appreciate that most of the time no one replies to these posts. Please continue to be patient and don't touch any posts that are offensive. Ifish members include some law enforcement whose volunteer services have come in pretty darn handy!
I didn't know I was a detective, but I am turning into one!
My sincere apologies to everyone on the board for these creeps.
Most of all I'm sad and disappointed. I was so proud of not having this kind of thing happen. But it did. Yuck.
Oh, and as far as posting rules on the front page, you have to read them, or are supposed to, on registration. It clearly states the rules. If they didn't read it then, they are not going to read it here. And even if they do, look at their posts, they don't care!
Hang in,
Jen

Jennie, you're the best! I read you column religiously and love it! Keep up the good work. Unfortunately there are a few people out there that get off posting the kind of garbage we have seen on a few posts but you and RT have done a great job in controlling them. I was on blues-l for a couple of years and you wouldn't believe the wild stuff that got posted. Death threats, name calling, cyber-stalking you name it was all there.

Jennie, you and R/T are doing a great job with this site. Too bad there are some that try to get under your skin just for their own kicks.

Just one question. I can't be banned for lack of fishing success can I? If that the case I'm in big trouble http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hey Jen,
Don't sweat the small stuff. No matter what you do, the bad ones will still be bad. The job you are doing is hard, but from what I've seen, I must say that you do it fabulously. I wish more women were like you. That's all for now....and Thanks...
Remember......It's good to be LUCKY. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

A good private bulletin board is not run by either a dictatorship or a committee. In the terms of Machiavelli, it should be run by a Benevolent (we hope) Despot. In the case of IFISH her name is Jennie. If we don't like her rules or decisions, we can exercise or democratic option and leave. That is the only option available to us.
I like her rules and her decisions. I'm staying.
You go B.D. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS! http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Jen, Thanks for this useful thread! We won't let a few bad apples spoil the applesauce. ... Huh? ... Did I get that right? Applesauce? http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif Anyway, you know what I mean. -- And 'Stew, just how bad of a fisherman are you? We do have our standards here. I would say I'm "average" bad RT. Of course if I had some new "good buddies" to take me out in their boats well then I wouldn't be such an embarassment to this lofty BB.

OK Bob, that's it! 3 strikes (lost fish in a row) puts you on probation. Better darn well land the next one. Or lie. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif . -- Actually, I should warn all posters on here that Jen has just installed the latest state of the art net posting lie detector sensors on our BB. So no lies now! Those caught lying about their catches or reports will be hung in effigy in the new "Liars Dungeon" page for everyone to see. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Jen and RT...you two are doing a great job on this board. 99% of the people on this board are here for the same reason...to talk fishing. Thank you for all the work that you do. It is appreciated.

Jennie, don't worry too much about the jerks. The best way to handle it is to ignore them. They go away when no one rises to the bait. You guys are great. Thanks,
Marko
