Took a break from salmon chasing to spend my birthday chasing trout at Harriet Lake. Fished Saturday and it was awesome. Over 20 trout, all on the bug rod, biggest was a 16" brown. It's starting to get nippy at night up there, so I think the fish are starting to bulk up for the winter. If you want to catch fish head up there, it's like fish in a barrell. Hopefully when the picture of the Brown is developed I'll post it. It sure was a pretty fish.

Good job Ramstrong! Is that lake still up there? I have many happy memories from that place. When I still had my little rowboat I took my then future wife on our first date. I don't pretend to fly fish so I dragged a #10 green butt spruce on 2lb leader with my spinning rod. My wife's 1st trout ever (1st time fishing ever) was a 20" German Brown. She couldn't understand why all the bank guys followed/grilled her up the bank when she walked out with our catch to get the pickup. I settled for a couple of 12" rainbows and a partner. The bend is your friend!
