I have to cook dinner for 10 to 12 bird hunters this weekend, all guys, so it obviously has to be hearty and include meat. Any ideas? I want it to be a bit nicer than just burgers, I have a freezer full of beef, pork, deer, and pheasant. Thank you in advance.

With the cold weather moving through, and a freezer full of meat, it sounds like it's time to make some good ole' hearty meaty chili!!

Ok I decided on ribs, went and bought ten pounds yesterday, what are your favorite ways to prepare?

Soak ribs in beer in the fridge for 10-12 hours (the carbonation will tenderize and flavor them). Take them out of beer, pat them dry, and let them sit at room temp for 5-10 minutes. Give 'em a good massage with your rub. Wrap them in plastic wrap and marinate in the fridge overnight. When you get ready for them to cook, get your grill good and hot and then turn it down on it's lowest setting. Put ribs on top shelf and slow cook 'em till good and tender, turning them every once in awhile. Serve 'em up with some cole slaw and good ole' baked beans, along with your favorite beverage! MMMMMM...GOOD!!!! :food
Dang it...i'm hungry now

10 lbs for 10-12 guys? you're going to need to double that if they're not boneless.....
my other suggestion would be beef, pork, deer, and pheasant. :food:

I rub em' up with a mixture of brown sugar, salt, pepper, pour a little sweet vermouth over em', then wrap them in saran wrap tightly and then in foil. I then put them in the oven at 250 for a couple hours or longer and then on the grill medium heat to finish em' with a little crispiness...you can add bbq sauce at the end if you like, but I usually just have some on the side to dip em' in....
