Where is the fourth sockeye R.T.? This sockeye season my boat landed 72 and me and the old lady took home 36,It was a great fishery.Hopefully it will be open next year. STRIKE ZONE

To make a long story short I did the quick release of a downrigger ball early that morning http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif and due to that there is a sockeye in either the lake or the Cedar River with a hook and a dodger hangin' out of it's mouth. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif The replacement setup was an old style trollin weight that has the loop on the back so when the fish hits it, it will be like a slider. Well right after we landed the first fish, that rod went down damn near to the waterline, I picked it up to hand it to RT and the fish was gone. The weight had nicked the main line and it broke when the fish hit it. About a minute after that happened the fish came up and jumped and RT could see the new jewelry the fish was wearin'. Strike Zone, I'm with you I hope there is a season EVERY year. Love them sock's!!! Only got to go once this year. Jeffhead, Ya,I lost a few pieces of jewlry my self.The last saturday it was open I lost one of my favorite dodger's.Then on sunday my fishin buddy lost the other both which I had from the 1996 fishery,I hate loosing good fishing gear,oh well they served there purpose.I'll stock up when they get them back in for the next time. Jeff, that was a really fun trip. At least the half when I was awake (I didn't go to bed, just left around 1:30 am for Oly & on to Lk. WA). - At least your wife waited 'till I sucked in my stomach in the lower photo http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif . - Steve
