My wife has been having some bizarre medical problems over the last few days. We went to the ER Sun. night and the ER doc really did't tell us much and didn't seem to listen to our concerns - all after waiting over 1.5 hours to even get in. Even the nurse that assisted the doc didn't agree with his assessment and the nurse recommended that she go see her regular doc ASAP Monday AM. This is why I'm still awake at 1:40 AM Sunday night. I'd appreciate any prayers that could be offered up - she's miserable right now.
Thanks!

Prayers on the way! One thing we've found out with my wife's medical problems is you have to be a strong advocate for yourself. Listen and act on your instincts about doctor opinions, medical treatment etc... Ask questions and research her problems (WebMD is a good start). The best way to keep the Doc's and medical staff on their toes is to let them know you're doing your homework!
We will be praying for ya!

Thanks all! It was a long night Sun night and long day Monday. All I can say is that we kinda sorta have a tentative diagnosis. More doctor visits on Tuesday. It's looking like there will be some sort of medical procedure for her in the near future. We'll find all that out tomorrow.
Thanks again!

Thanks again for all the prayers and words of encouragement. We had some findings today and it seems that some sort of surgical procedure is in the near future. She's controlling symptoms with medication at this point. We have a meeting with the docs late next week to discuss options. The waiting game is sometimes the most difficult part.

I agree, waiting takes your guts and keeps them in a knot.
Still praying.

Thanks to all for the prayers, thoughts and words. We got word today that her surgery is scheduled for April 12. Doc said it's a routine procedure and that recovery time shouldn't be too long. Thank God for doctors, their skill and their widom. Hopefully, after her recovery, she'll be back to her ornery self.
Thanks again!

She had her surgery this AM. Everything went very well and she's well on her way to recovery. Still on heavy pain meds and there's a 50/50 chance she'll be home Thursday night.    She'll be out of commission for about two weeks, which was expected. Thank God for good doctors and their ability to heal.
Thanks for all the prayers, thoughts, support and encouragement!

Brought her home yesterday. She's in bed resting and her pain is being controlled.
Thanks again!

Wait on Her hand and foot and show Her how much you love and care for Her. Glad that she is home and resting , no place like home.
Will remember you all in prayer.

Thanks, all!! And, DAB - got that covered. In fact, I think I'm annoying her sometimes. I'm sure she'll get over it though. :flowered:
I sincerely appreciate all the prayrs and support. Velvet is recovering nicely and she continues to rest and heal. She's a pretty tough gal - she'd have to be to put up with me.
Thanks again!
