To say this steelhead season has been unreal just doesn't quite cut it. It started off awesome when we could get out between rain shots we slammed the fish (http://www.ifish.net/forum/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=1058564&an=0&page=0#1058 564). As the water stayed high its stayed really great fishing (http://www.ifish.net/forum/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=1087375&an=0&page=0#1087 375) when we got out. But then the rain stopped and fishing got really good (http://www.ifish.net/forum/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=1112742&an=0&page=0#1112 742). Then the rivers got really low and clear it did what I didn't think it could do and got better.
In my last ten trips we have hooked 141 steelhead. Two of those days were half day trips (and two of the only trips we didn't hook double digits) one which we started late and kept our first 4 hatchery fish and another where it was too cold so we quit early.
Doubles have been very common.

In fact this week I had a three day period in which we had a shot at 10 doubles.

Limits have been a common trend too.
