Better Hurry

If anyone plans on ocean coho you better hurry, I would not be surpprised if it is over this weekend. Went to the pile today out of Newport everyone was limiting in short order. I released several and kept a 15# chinook and 10# silver. These were by far the best grade of fish so far this year.

RJ are you a little upset because I called you on the cell phone while you were at work so you could listen to the line being ripped from my reel, actually I thought that was clever, hmmm.....maybe a little cruel.

We took a drive down to Newport yesterday afternoon and stopped to shop in Depot Bay a short while. Reportedly the charters were limiting out on the ho's in about 3 hours! My fam had to drag me away from an afternoon run out there. They wanted to shop and eat dinner in Newport more than fishing in a cold offshore fog bank for salmon, if you can imagine. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
