Just got back from the Skeena/kitamat area and there is a lot of big Kings right now. Just jump in a car and drive 2 days north it closes for Kings Aug 1. Kitamat has lots of pinks and chums just starting to come in on each tide. You can catch them till your'e arms fall off!!!

Kerry, I love that area! Click on "See RT's Pics" and scroll down to the 70# Kitimat fish I got there. That was in '89, a record run year when they got back an astounding 40,000 big Kings! We had double figure days before lunch every day. The runs there have since slowly declined for some reason, but there is optimism it'll rebound. I'll be going up later this summer a little further north of there and will let you know how we do. Thanks for the report. - RT - (I won't give away your secret spot FC)

i know this board is not much into hiding secrets and I, for the most part, support that, but should you tell that secret, it would suck being you.(jk) Most Canadians, as good as fishing as they have, dont even know about it. For the most part its not gonna be fun being you since your will have the least amount of senority on this trip anyway.(jk) You might want to bring extra gear and food for more bargaining power. Maybe an extra belt also. All in all I think its really cool that your gonna make the trip and i am looking forward to showing you a good fishing trip since you have show me so many. (for real, no kidding.)
