Steve,
Douhball wants to know if you have the proper rod for bobber fishing in Canada? He recommends GLoomis 10.5' 10-40lbs. He considers other rods inferior in strength and stamina. Contact doughball if you need to inquire about purchasing.
He also recommends more than just a belt to keep your pants where they need to be when you have a fish on.....also recommends bringing extra food for bargaining power.

Hi FC. You tell Doughball that the payback is coming. Remember in the 80's he used to bring 10 lb. line on his reels to fish for big Tillamook fall chinook? You know how that rankled me because you and I would have to sit and read a magzine while he played the darn things forever. And when we snibbled about it he laid the "I am a true sportsman giving the fish an equal chance" crap on us. Well it's payback time! First, tell him where he can shove his 10.5', 40# GLoomis. Then I'm going to bring my new 6 to 12 lb. steelhead jig rod and my "stout" 8 to 17 lb. winter rod and fish 12 lb. Ultra Green for those big BC hawgs you guys have been bragging about. Tell him to bring some magazines! And that I can take care of my pants just fine despite being thinner by then. -- BTW, latest plan is to ride up with you and my brother is going to fly his 2 man long range kit plane up to bring me back. That way if we go down in the northern BC coast range at least I get to fish it first. Otherwise I'd fly up and back; should be scenic. Talk with ya soon FC. Steve
