I will be over in Central Oregon next week. Has anyone heard of any fishing reports from Crane Prairie or Wickiup reservoirs?

NS - I have heard that the fishing at Crane Prairie Res. is pretty decent for both trout & bass. Don't know the details. I haven't heard anything about Wickiup.

Thanks RT. I was hoping Crane would be good. I'll check with the locals when I get there.

Fished at Crane and Wickiup last weekend. We didnt get a bite or see anything caught. We fished Wickiup on Sat. with no success. We did see several fish come in. Big Rainbows and Browns. One was weighed at S, Twin at 9 lbs. Caught on a trolled worm while fishing for Kokes. There was a hatch of some kind, black moth looking bug. Browns rolling all over in the shallows early mourn. between Gull point and Sheeps Bridge. Hope this helps. Good luck and tight lines http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just got home from fishing Crane Prarie and Timothy Lake. Crane sucked and so did the mosquitoes!!!! Three of us in the boat and only one fish (kokanee) caught in two days. Others in camp had worse luck....no fish at all. Then we went to Timothy for two days. Fishing was very bad as well not just for us but everyone else we saw and spoke too. We only got two bows there. Mosquitoes not so bad there though. At Crane you couldnt even breath with your mouth open on land OR on the water!! If you do go, take floss, as you will be flossing them out of your teeth http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sorry NS. What I'd heard could have been outdated. Did you guys try size 16 Mesquitos or Adams flies on real light leader? Or striping in wooly buggers? Of course you did. Just too many real ones around probably.
