I am feeling a little stressed about the prices of decals. I was given this quote from Rose at RK products, a well known company for boat decals that are salt water proof, etc, which I think is a good idea.
---

I have some prices for you on the decals.

Standard vinyl 5" round decal with one color imprint
125= 1.94 Qty 250= 1.08 Qty 500 .63

Each additional color add:
Qty: 125=.69 250= .36 500= .20 ea.
One time setup= 30.00 per color

Premium vinyl (recommended for saltwater Etc. )
Qty 125=2.04 250=1.14 500=.74
Each additional color is;
125-.72 250= .44 500=.26
One time set $30.00 per color

The patches range depending on percentage of embroidery such as 35%, 50%, 75%.100%
Qty. breakdown:
50, 100 , 200 Example if you order 125 patches 5" round with a 50% embroidery the price would be 3.25 ea..
Could be less depending on the artwork.

Anyway, the way I figure it, I am going to have to come up with alot of money to order these, and I have to at LEAST cover costs.

Marty, how many colors are in your last version? Do we have to count all the shades of green? If so, not a good deal, huh? I love the colored one. I think it NEEDS some color.

Should I stick my neck out and spend over 500 bucks without knowing how many I will sell?
Anyone out there have tons of money to throw around, because if I do this, it goes on my already disgusting visa bill.
I figure there are 250ish board members and as a biz decision maybe half will buy them. Do the math..... not good for me.
Then, I think..... well, maybe GI joes or smaller bait shops will help carry them. I don't know, I need to look into this.
This is taking alot of time and money, and any ideas or help would be great.
I want decals for ifish, I think they are fun ! But how can we do this without me going broke?
I still have another quote coming in from another company, but I feel like it will be similar.

Thanks for your help! I'm out of here... going cutthroat fishing!!! That is inexpensive for me!

take a poll to see how many you can sell right away. I will start I need at least 4 (2 for the boat and 2 for the truck).
as far as salt water how many people will put them on there boats low enough for salt water to effect them. I will put mine were people can see them and only get wet from rain.
As far as the cost I will be willing to help out and Im sure others will also.

Lets see... Bill has 5 boats and one truck two vests....I think he can cover the cost. No, kidding....

Anyway, this just in. Help me guys.... I don't know what to do... Tell me if you want patches or decals first, I can't afford both first off.

Here is the latest from RK
----

You have black, red or orange, two shades of green and white on the
artwork.
I have some prices for the patches on the 3 and 4" The lettering on the
patch (Fishing the Coast) need to be enlarged. The turnaround on these
patches are
six weeks. When do you need them? We can go with a Made in USA company, that
would be faster but more expensive.

Here are the prices for overseas patches.
3" patch 50=3.40 100=.98 200=1.40
4" patch 50-4.95 100-2.95 200= 1.95

I have to get you a price for the 6" decal.
Any questions let me know.

So, you are doin good... Tell me who wants what... I will make one column for ordering, one post, so it is easier to tally.

I'll go make that post thread now.

I didn't really expect this to override the previous version. I figured if somebody want to print and laminate some it would look nice.
I understand $$ dilema. I have done this kind of research for my site also. Very expensive to add on top of already running the site expenses. Setup fees etc.. Tackle shops may be the key to getting these paid for. If they are nice quality people will buy them and others will want them when they see them. But is it worth your financial health?
The colors usually only count one time as I understand them.
