Whew!!!!!!! Perhaps too many don't think before they cast. Doesn't take long for a boat to pass!

Can you believe that once I got SO mad at a gillnetter because he put his floats right on shore and scooped my tackle away that I tied on a weight and threw it out towards him?? I almost hit his boat! WHOOPS! Temper, temper.... but I lost ALL my tackle and the laws were to stay something like 50 feet offshore. He was right on the darn beach! I have grown up since then a bit, but man I was mad.
Glad you are OK, and that wasn't me that threw the weight.

Talk about your bad end of a trip!
Lesson here is stay a mile from
the bank - grin?

Subject: Thanks For Saving My Life!!
For the top five bizzare in my entire lifetime.
Coming back to the dock from fishing on the Columbia to the Fishery boat ramp.
Doing about 50 mph and all of a sudden WHAM.....the drivers windshield on my Asaltor just shatters!!
Thought I was shot.
If you can believe it, a bank guys 20 ounce sinker broke off and flew about 500 yards into it!
Thanks for not scrimping on the safety glass! It almost came through but did not. Would have taken my head right off.
Signed,
Own Two Willie Boats,

I know Jennie, I met HIM face to face,
trust me, grin. Might as well been
an Army holitzer though! This went
from oh my god my boat, to oh my god
I'm alive back to oh my god I can't
fish in my boat! It's fixed and the
steelhead numbers are climbing on
the Columbia! Became the Albino Rhino
though for a minute after it happened.
