Hey all, just thought I'd let you know how the king fishing is up on the Nush where Marty is. Well, to put is simply http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif Only a dozen caught yesterday from his boat; the the record this year being 20. Marty's a tad bit distraught, but is looking forward to the run finally coming in (any day now!!) Last year, his record was 59 for the 3 people in the boat and he can hardly wait to repeat it. Here fishy, fishy!! Liz, our 15 yr old daughter, is with him this year and is having a great time (fishing, working, making $$ ,boy watching... what better things are there?) I'll let you know when the "real" run begins. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif ~Lee

Hi Lee. Thanks for posting a report. Tell Marty hello from Ifish and give him our sympathy for the slow 12 fish days he has to grind through http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif . Remind him how much more exciting it is to get 1 or 2 when you have to work for them down here. - Steve

Oh, you can bet I've reminded him alright! A dozen sounds great to me! but, this is Alaska we're talking about, so it's not quite good enough. People are paying big bucks to catch fish 'till their arms fall off! It'll happen. Marty's just a little discouraged and more than a little homesick. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif I'll tell him you said "hi", he'll like that. Thanks RT ~Lee

Hi Lee; Tell Marty that I finally learned there really is no Snipe hunting! It took me four months to figure it out! Let him know that I will get him back some day hopefully soon. When I fished the steelhead derby with him he had me going, I was going to take my son out to hunt them. God, I don't know how he kept a straight face. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif Oh well, I will see him on the Oregon rivers this fall, you know what they say about pay-backs???? Oh, my gosh! TOO FUNNY!! that story is older than any of us. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif Didn't Pat even clue you in? Bad, Bad boys!! Hey, how's fishing up in your neck of the woods by now? I've read your posts. Any better? Even more important, how's your fam-damily? Son doing okay?

Both kept a straight face, I was totally clueless. Kenai is open to keep any king fish now and bait is also allowed. Many fish caught on the first day, we will see if it keeps up. I fished the Kasilof Friday, lost four and landed one. It is slowing down on the king fishing, sockeye are just coming in. Fam-damly is OK, I miss my son terribly!!! http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif But I believe he will be able to come up for most of August. RW
