Any ideas on how to figure out what kind of fuel effieiency I can get on a 99 evinrude 50 horse? I looked at their website and on the search engines and couldn't really find anything.

I just bought a boat that has an 18 gal tank with the 2 stroke 99 evinrude (50 horse). I do have a kicker as well with a 6 gal tank but kind of want to get an idea of what to expect.

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Of course it depends on what length, withg, & weight boat you put it on, as well as wind/current, & load, probable between 4 & 6 mpg, but the best way to know for sure is to make a couple test run's.

I used to run a suzuki DF 60 four stroke on a 17' boat. It burned about 3 gph at 3500 rpm's. I assume the 2 stroke will burn a little more.
