I have two batteries and a switch where I can use #1, #2, or both. One of my batteries is low. Can I start the motor with both and expect it to charge the low battery? Can I start it with #2 and switch it while running to number 1 to get it charged?
Thanks

I've been told NEVER switch the batteries when running. Can't remember why but think it might have to do with the alternator. Dumb queston but why can't you just charge the battery?
You can switch from 1 to 2 or both to 1 or 2 but NEVER switch to off when running, the out put from the alt has no where to go if switched to off when running,it would be advised to charge the battery first
