This morning the Santiam was too thick to drink, too thin to plow. No fishing for me today! I think the salmon will have to burrow their way upstream. Okay, maybe it wasn't that bad, but it was high, muddy, and not really fishable. I went upstream to both the North and South forks. They were better, but still not really fishable. Darn.

Hey Happybrew!
Is the Santiam coming close to clearing up a little yet? Have had some success down around Newberg for Springers, but it's blown out right now. Should be fishable again the day after the Santiam turns green.

I'll find out tomorrow morning when I head out. If it's still high, I'll fish for trout at Big Cliff Reservoir. I'll let you know as soon as I get back.
