Well this steelhhead season has surely been different with all the rain and non fishable days. Finally this week gave me a full week of fishing instead of calling the clients up and cancelling.
And the fishing was great with hooking no less than 8 fish each day. It turns my stomach with another forcast of nothing but rain.
Here is how the week started.

It got so good we were getting them two at a time

Many natives were released and many hatchery fish were bonked making for action packed days.

But as the week ended we were back to the weather that keeps us off the river, but they were biting this day.

Nice to be back on the water, but looks like we will be sitting most of this week off it. This steelhead season has been awesome when it has been fishable. As good as I can remember for this time of year, lots of natives and hatchery fish. We just need the weather to cooperate and give us more fishable days.
