Clackamas & Sandy reports?

Going to fish somewhere this weekend. Would appreciate reports for how the lower Sandy & Clack. have been recently for springers & summers. Thanks.

With the good series of tides we had this week, it should bring in some fresh fish. I've heard of a few fish (nooks/summers) being caught on the lower end of both rivers. Go get em.

I fished the Sandy on Friday and Saturday....not a bite....heard of two fish caught in the late afternoon on Fri.

Fished the lower Sandy Saturday pm till dusk. Beautiful. One plunker had a hatchery summer steelhead caught mid-afternoon.

With the Clack. only open 3 days/week (Sat., Mon., Wed.) a friend of mine says he sees at least half a dozen boats in the High Rocks/Cross Park hole on those mornings on his way to work. Anybody know how the lower Clack. is puttin' out? - Steve

The report has it that there were 15 boats and 22 fish caught this morning at the mouth of the Sandy. I drifted the river late afternoon saw one fish caught.

Sandy River 5-13, Oxbow to Lewis and Clark. Had maybe one bump all day. Even the best guide on the river told us he wasn't hurting the salmon population any.
