I haven't heard much about the lower Clack. lately and would appreciate any feedback. I did hear several days ago that some early springers and summers were being caught but not up to standards yet. - How has it been from the mouth to about Carver the last few days? (ODFW may send us Clackamette and Carver ramp counts thru May). And has snow melt in the absence of normal rain kept the river up at around 13.1/3.1? I'm suprized it's not at a better hole up level (low 2's). - With it open only 3 days a week this spring it should have a good presence of fish avialable on Sat./Mon./Wed. thru May and early June (hope the extra sunshine doesn't cause an early moss growth though). Keep us posted. Thanks, Steve

JK- Hey man, you had me excited. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif Thought maybe my sled got stolen while I was away and you saw it on the river; grunted my way out to the garage and there it was. Crap! http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif I thought I could take the ins. and maybe buy that shiny one of yours. Maybe a few more skunks will bring your price down into my neighborhood? http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif ... Nah, the Clack. will just come on pretty soon and then you might not even want to sell it. Later, Steve

The HOT report this is NOT! I fished the lower Clack this morning with a great partner and we didn't do a thing. By noon 10 boats checked with two fish. The water is 44 degrees (a little cold) and looks great! It's time for this river to take off. If things warm-up your going to see the moss sooner than later. There are some great (looking) "new" spots and if I wasn't getting skunked I would probably spend more time there. It's going to be important when this thing gets going to have some spots to get away from the crowd. Hope your felling well and just an FYI, I polished that boat up a bit and it looks great!
